During the latter half of the 80's the TTB folks can often be seen and heard in two parallel bands: Varmare än kôrv and Totta & Hot'n'tots. Furthermore, Nikke Ström is a permanent member of Peps Blodsband (86-88).
85, 86: Not the most serious venture of the TBB clan: Varmare än kôrv (='Hotter than hotdogs' - a quip by Bengan) play fun summer gigs at Stadshotellet, Strömstad and tours around Sweden (i.e. Liseberg, Göteborg).
Original line up is the drummerless quartet of Bengan, Nikke, Totta and Mats Ronander (Mats on gtr, harp, vocals), playing unpretentious gigs at Göteborg's "Dojan" pub. The show rolls on to Strömstad, adding local drummer Bosse Johansson. Later dates also find Sanne Salomonsen on vocals. Rousing version of "Take Me To The River"!
86 Febr.: The Varmare än kôrv outfit is duly documented in a TV film ("De é varmare än kôrv i Key West"), featuring a trip to and a few gigs in Key West, Florida.
In the spirit of the band: For their three U.S. trips, Varmare än kôrv used the name Off Coors.
