Back in the bleak 80's two bands stood out on the live circuit like beacons on a dark landscape, Chuck Farley and The Monday Band

In the early 80's Steve Simpson's Chuck Farley doubled as Roger Chapman's band The Shortlist, and carved out a huge niche for themselves in the UK with a Country Rock and R&B feel, best summed up as Little Feat meets Ry Cooder.

Chuck Farley changed their moniker briefly to the Riffburglars to record two all star albums with Roger Chapman. Both CD’S, “The Funny Cider Sessions” and “Swag” will be available on the night. Chuck Farley also recorded a live vinyl album in its own name. A few years later, Steve teamed up with ace guitarist Papa George and the twin guitar led Monday Band was born.

Sadly the latter band never recorded but now twenty years on, the two bands will merge again to form a single super group for this special 3rd Boom Boom Anniversary show.

**Special note from Pete Feenstra**

In nearly 25 years of promoting live music in London, the name Steve Simpson has consistently been linked with quality bands from Bill Esher & The Beacons, Meal Ticket, Chuck Farley, Heart & Soul to Ronnie Lane, Roger Chapman & Eric Bibb. Every successive band was a classy affair but none will be so fondly remembered as Chuck Farley, the perfect band in fact for out 3rd Anniversary Show!

Tell your friends and let’s raise a glass to a great band celebrating a great venue!!!
