James Hunter cont.

July 9 at the Blues Terminal stage:
James Hunter delivered a great show backed by Matt Radford on double bass and Jonathan Lee on drums. Soulful and rocking, singing uncannily like the soul masters, playing his Gibson like a crazed crossbreed of a blues virtuoso and a surf rocker. Add a smattering of jokes, thrown at the audience and the band alike, also at breakneck speed. Incredible.

The set list (if there was one) must have looked something like this:
"Hallelujah I Love Her So" (Ray Charles)
"All By Myself" (Fats Domino)
"What Am I Living For" (Chuck Willis)
"Bony Moronie" (Larry Williams)
"Who's Loving You Tonight"
"Let The Good Times Roll"
"Sugar Dumpling" (Sam Cooke)
"Good Good Lovin'" (James Brown)
"Your Precious Love"
"Brown Eyed Handsome Man" (Chuck Berry)
